Tip Past Continuous Tense’le sürerlilik ve eylem(action) bildiren fiiller kullanılır ama durum
bildiren (stative) fiiller kullanılmaz.

➠ Joshua was working for a computer company in 2001.
➠ I still remember the days in Amsterdam. I was doing my masters in those days.
➠ What were you doing last night at eight?

Bu zamanla kullanılan zaman zarfları şunlardır:

in 1994 between 1990 and 1993 then
in those days at that time this time last week / month / year

Tip “for + period” bu tense ile kullanılmaz.

“When” and “While/As” Clauses with Past Continuous Tense

Tip Zaman cümlecikleri ana cümlede gelişen olayın olduğu zamanı gösterirler. Bu yapılarda geçmiş
zaman kipinde “when” ve “while/as” sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır.
